Supported Living

Unique Home Care NI provides supported living services in Northern Ireland to help adults live safely and independently in their own homes or shared accommodation. Our supported living support is ideal for people who need day‑to‑day help but do not want to move into a residential care home and would rather stay close to family, friends and their local community.

We combine practical support with person‑centred care, so each individual can build confidence, maintain daily routines and live a life that feels meaningful and their own.

What is Supported Living?

Supported living is a flexible type of social care that allows adults to have their own home while receiving tailored support with daily living tasks. It is different from residential care because housing and support are separate: you keep your own tenancy or room, and we provide the care and support you need around that.

Supported living can be a good option if you are:

Struggling at home?

If illness or disability is making it hard to cope alone at home, we can provide practical, day‑to‑day support.

Independence, Choice and Control

Good supported living is not just about doing things for people – it is about doing things with them. At Unique Home Care NI, we focus on:

  • independence – supporting you to do as much as you can for yourself

  • choice – involving you in decisions about your home, routines and support

  • control – helping you stay in control of your own life, rather than feeling like care is being “done” to you

Our support workers build long‑term, trusting relationships with the people they support, so that day‑to‑day care feels consistent, respectful and genuinely person‑centred.

If you or a loved one could benefit from our supported living services, please contact us for more information. We are here to help you navigate your care options and develop a plan that works best for you.
