Jacci has worked in care for 26 years and brings a genuine love for the role to Unique Home Care NI. She first moved into care after being made redundant from factory work, taking on bed runs because they suited her life as a young mum.
What began as a practical step soon became a career she truly valued.
Having worked with Debbie before, Jacci joined Unique because she believed in the way care was delivered here. For her, what makes Unique different is the time staff have with service users. The runs feel more relaxed, allowing carers to get to know each person properly and build real relationships.
Jacci knows care can be challenging, but she also believes it is deeply rewarding. Her advice to anyone thinking about care is "it is definitely worth giving it a go".
